Nearly every coating delamination and flooring callback we get called into traces back to the same place: the slab was never properly opened.
Adhesives and coatings don't bond to a sealed, polished, or contaminated surface. They bond to a mechanical profile. Leftover thinset, cutback, curing compound, or a slick troweled finish leaves the product sitting on a film instead of gripping concrete — and it lets go under load, moisture, or Las Vegas slab movement.
Grinding is how that profile gets created and verified. We open the slab to the CSP the manufacturer specifies, flatten the high spots that telegraph through thin goods, and hand over a prepared surface that has been inspected rather than assumed. It is the cheapest line item on the job and the one that decides whether the floor is still intact in five years.
